Clara is a Black Mouth Cur (we firmly believe). She was surrendered to CARE by a family who realized she deserved better than being chained & left outside. This sweet girl was a bit thin and dying for attention. Now Clara looks great, she's enjoying her foster home and foster siblings (another puppy and several dogs of different sizes).
We think Clara is going to be a medium sized based on her age & size. She was 30 lbs. when she came in 11/15/24. Clara is now 32.8 lbs. and about 6 months old.
Clara's very well mannered, doing well with crate & house training. She's super smart and content with her toys when you need some down time too. She plays well with the other dogs and puppy in her foster home. Clara doesn't pay the cat & kitten in her foster home any attention.
Spay appointment is 12/17/24 - she can go to her new family after her spay. Please consider adopting this sweet pea today!
A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. Out of state adoptions okay. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention and treatment if needed, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE. Breeds and mixes are often our best guess, based on decades of experience.
