Learn more about the Doberman Pinscher.
The last day of 2004, there was a puppy mill seizure/surrender near the SC/GA state line. Several breed and all-breed rescues helped remove about 60 survivors from this terrible place. Apparently the breeder was hospitalized and a relative who was supposed to care for the dogs had not been doing so--they basically had not been fed or watered since about October, and they had no bedding or shelter. Cullen's Archangel RescuE took two of these babies under our wings. Bill and Ted, as we're calling them, are typical sweet "velcro" dobies who just need good care, love and food, for the most part. They're about a year old, and each came in weighing 31 pounds! You can see from the pictures what kind of shape they're in. In the next few weeks we hope to post more pictures of them as the fatten up! Ted does have some injuries, badly infected bite wounds and such--but is improving by the day--hopefuly he will do well. If you're interested in adopting one of these little boys, please contact Lara for more info. Please, be aware, they will not be up for adoption for a little while, until we are sure they are medically stable and we are able to complete their routine vet care, neutering, etc. As are most rescue groups on Petfinder, we are supported entirely by donations (including adoption fees). Nolan's recent crisis , a few other minor crises lately, plus taking in these boys (when we said "no more" but how could we say no?) has left us dangerously low on funds! Donations are always gratefully accepted via Paypal and regular mail (information on our website www.cullensarchangelrescue.org). Foster homes (SC area mostly) are another big need--again, please contact us if you are willing and able to help. Thank you and have a good new year! Adoption saves lives!
