Toby and Jack (also listed on CARE's website) came to us when sadly their original owner passed away and her family couldn't give them the care they needed. Unfortunately they have been in four different homes since then about 2 years ago which is taking a toll on them. We are trying to find the best forever home for these guys.
Toby and Jack are a special bonded pair, they have been together since Jack was hatched (9 Years), and will only be adopted out together. Even though Jack and Toby are bonded they require their own cages, like any brothers they will get aggravated with each other and fight. Even though they must have separate cages they must be in the same room if they cant interact with each other they get stressed, they mutilate themselves, and tend to become very vocal and loud.
As you can see from Toby's pictures he has been plucking his feathers which was caused by many factors. Toby just had his annual vet exam in September. His foster mom is working on bonding with him and getting him back to the happy, beautiful bird that he is. Toby has improved greatly since coming to his foster mom and is looking better every day.
Toby is a talker! He has a lot of different things he says one of his best sayings is "I'm a bird" it is hilarious! Toby does how ever have a very colorful vocabulary to include words that are NOT appropriate for all audiences (we are not sure where he picked them up).
The adoption fee for Jack and Toby is $550 for the bonded pair. Due to the hard life these boys have had we will be very selective for their adoption. We just want these boys to go to a home where they will be well taken care of, loved and most importantly never have to be rehomed again, they deserve it!
More about TobyIs Not Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats Special Needs: Toby only has one leg and one toe is missing on that leg. Toby must be adopted with his/her companion, Jack (adopted).
