Skippity doesn't discriminate. If you have a warm, soft lap, she will be in it. She loves to be held and to cuddle in the bed with you. When you come home from work, she does her smiling happy dance at your feet to say "Hello, I'm sooooo happy to see you". She loves to be baby talked and carried around. She'll leap into your arms when you reach for her. If you're sitting on the couch, she'll nestle into your lap or drape herself across the back of your neck. She makes a great scarf for cold nights.

One of Skippity's greatest joys is lying in a basket full of warm laundry fresh from the dryer. Her foster mom always leaves the clothes that it doesn't matter if they're wrinkled until she has soaked all the warm out of them. She sleeps in the bed at night completely under the covers and keeps you nice and warm. She also likes to chew on tissues, but that's an indulgence her foster mom doesn't allow. :)

Skippity is crate trained. She goes right in when you tell her to "go to bed". She is also housetrained and will even go out to potty in the rain. When you meet Skippity you will adore her. She is quite charming, especially when she looks at you with her big ole eyes! Skippity lost her left rear leg when she was hit by a car several years ago. She gets around as well as any 4-legged dog and requires no special care for her missing limb.

Skippity isn't quite perfect. Whatever her reasons (if only we could ask her), she gets extremely upset about being petted in certain ways. She warns first but she will bite if her warnings are ignored. For this reason, she will not be adopted to a home with small children. She's completely predictable as far as what upsets her, so it's very easy to avoid setting her off and therefore being bitten. It's possible that she was abused in the past and certain things remind her of that experience. :(

All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.
