Oscar was pulled by another rescue group on 12/7/04 and sent to us for placement because they were full, but he was out of time. Oscar has had all his shots and is neutered. He is heartworm negative and on prevention. He appears to be about 1.5 years old and weighs 14 lbs. He is a purebred Rat Terrier and is gorgeous. We will post better pictures soon. The picture show here was taken at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Shelter. He is said to have perfect manners (housetrained too!). He loves to play, but is really pretty calm for his breed. Oscar was adopted shortly before Christmas 2004. He will return to our group this weekend. Unfortunately, his new daddy is having to return him because he has been diagnosed with cancer. He will be admitted to Duke University for chemotherapy and will not be back for a while. Drs. are not very optimistic. Please, if you pray, pray for him and his family. They are some of the nicest people you will every meet.
