Rascal came into our rescue 3/28/06 because, sadly, his owner passed away 3/19/06. He is a sweet and beautiful, flame point Persian with blue eyes. He can be a little shy with strangers, but is very loving to his family. Rascal gets along with cats, birds, and dogs instantly. He'll make a great companion.

Rascal is good with children, but small, active, loud, young children may stress him out. We do not discount any potential adopter as all homes are not created equal. ;o If you have small children, but feel you may be a good match for him anyway - please do apply. He currently lives in a fairly active foster home.

Rascal is up to date on vaccines, vet exam, combo test (FELV/FIV - negative), dewormer, and has been neutered. He will be freshly groomed after his vet recheck appt. Updated photos coming soon.

*** Rascal was adopted back in 2006, shortly after intake. Sadly, his adoptive family dumped him at a local HIGH KILL shelter before the holidays and never even contacted us. Luckily, they left his vet records and original adoption papers with him. The shelter was kind enough to contact us so we could take him back. Our adoption contract requires that all pets are returned to ONLY us if the adoption should not work out. CARE supports all adopters, long after the adoption is complete.

We work hard to reduce this chance by screening adopters and looking for matches with families and the pets they are adopting. The family surrendered him for not using the litter box in their new home. We suspected he was not feeling well and took Rascal to our vet. Poor Rascal had a raging urinary tract infection and needed antibiotics.

I personally promised the original pet guardian, Susan, before she died that I would look after each of her furbabies and be sure they found loving forever families. I intend to keep that promise. CARE intends to keep this promise. This baby deserves nothing less. So, if you are the dedicated adopter who will cherish him, please apply today.
