Flip and Flop are two very curious and active cockatiels. We don't know their age but they might be younger. Flip, the female, is the quieter one who observes first and then goes ahead and tries everything out: climbing on the outside of the cage, checking out toys and things she considers her toys. Flop, the male, loves to whistle with you. We are currently working on some tunes and he tries hard to imitate us. Flop adores our noisy vacuum cleaner.

Both have clipped wings but Flop, especially, wants to explore his surroundings. When we leave the cage open both come out immediately and enjoy their time outside. If you have other animals you need to know whether they would prey on birds. Flip and Flop will not necessarily stay on their cage and they are not afraid of our dogs. For now they do not come to our hands and step up. Working on that will take patience but they are already tempted to pick the yummy seeds from our hands.

They are friendly with each other but not closely bonded. They prefer to sit on separate perching sticks and we offer them separate food trays.

All birds receive health exams through CARE before they are placed in their new homes.

Flop must be adopted with his companion, Flip (adopted).
